How to clean my ear wax

Point No.1 : Don’t use Cotton swabs to remove ear wax. The cotton swab will push the wax further in.

Point No. 1a : Ofcourse, Due to ageing and other factors, some people produce more wax which needs clearning, otherwise, DONT REMOVE THE WAX!

Point No.b: Small amount of wax is very much necessary for the ear. It repels moisture there by avoiding bacteria growth.

Point No. 1b : The excess quantity normally falls out automatically. If excess wax stuck up inside, it causes pain and dizzy effect. The execess was stucks up mainly because, you might have inserted a cotton swab,etc or water might have entered into the ear.

Point No. 1C: How the earwax falls out automatically? The excess wax slowly moves from the ear canal to the opening of the ear. There it dries up along with the dust and falls out.

Some people have ear wax problem throughout their lives. Some develop this problem suddenly without any reason.

Point No.3. First tell me the reason why you want to remove ear wax.
Reason1: "I am not able to hear clearly!"
Reason 2: "Some kind of pain is there inside my ear!"
Like this some solid reason should be there. It is not just like regular nail-cutting. If the above such reasons are not there, then you should not insert anything into your ear.

Point No. 5. Atleast for the first time, don’t avoid doctor. He has special equipments, such as microscope,suction machine sucks the wax neatly. If the pain is due to ear drum damage, then the home-remedy-you-follow may permanently damage your ear.

Point No.6. In most of the cases, people insert something such as cotton swab and the wax goes deep inside and stuck there and once it is stuck there, you get an uncomfortable dizzy effect in your ear. If that is your case, you have to soften the wax and flush it out.
How to do it:
Step 1: Lie down with the problematic ear upside. Pour few drops of warm oil (NOT HOT OIL, Lady!). Baby oil or olive oil is ok. The oil should be fresh and clean. Let the oil sit there for 5 minutes to melt the wax. Then run down the oil. Then squirt warm water to flush out the dirty wax.

WHAT I DID WAS : I purchased the ear drop liquid “otorex”. It basically melts the wax. (note: doctors normally suck the ear wax. If the ear wax is stuck strongly, then they apply ear drops such as otorex to melt the wax. Let me tell what is written on the label of otorex bottle “DISSOLVES WAX PROMPTLY, REMOVES IMPACED WAX,NON IRRITANT, ANTI BACTERIAL,ANTIFUNGAL”. The price of 10ml bottle is around Rs.40. Doctor told to put about 10 drops of the liquid, then after few seconds, put the cotton and allow it be there overnight. Like this he asked me to do for four days, then i went to the doctor again,and he cleaned the ear by a sucking machine.

The next time onwards, I puchased ear drops myself from the pharmacy and softened the wax. For cleaning out the wax, I used the same Dropper in the ear-drops bottle and put lot of warm water inside the ear . Then i pressed the rubber pulb of the dropper about ten times by keeping the dropper somewhat inside the water in the ear. Now the water becomes muddy and thus i removed the wax. I cannot say this is a safe method, but however, for me, it worked well.

Point No.7 : What Doctors say about Ear Wax ? The best and safest wasy to remove ear wax is NOT TO REMOVE IT AT ALL. Because, ear has a self cleaning arrangement. The excess wax will automatically fall out. Ear wax is produced to trap dirt and wax avoids moisture which is the main cause for infection. Never use cotton swab to clean ear canal or ear wax If you did, then in most of the cases, you will endup with the doctor.

Point No. 8: What about Hydrogen-per-oxide for softening the ear wax?
H2O is water, H2O2 is HydrogenPerOxide. H2O2 is dangerous if you have a punctured ear drum. For a perfectly normal ear, h2o2 is ok.

How ear works?

1.sound travels through ear canal and reach air drum
Airdrum vibrates.
2) Three tiny bones are attached to the ear drum.
1.Malleus ( hammer),
2.Incus (anvil),
3.Stapes (stirrup).
3) When airdrum vibrates, the three bones also vibrates.
The stirrup bone is attached to COCHLEA.
Inside cochla,fluid is there.
So Fluid vibrates.
Inside cochlea, tiny hair cells are there.
When fluid vibrates, hair cells also vibrates.
The hair cell vibrates causes electrical impulses.
Electrical pulses travel to brain through 8TH AUDITORY nerves.
